The basic kit, available in a variety of colors, consisted of pieces of medium armor covering the chest, back and lower legs. The advanced kit included a compact backpack and several additional elements of armor - shoulder shields, separate armor plates covering the chest and back of the wearer, as well as shin guards for boots.
